Rational/Explanation for Script/Presentation
Stephen and I chose this part of the book because it seemed like it wasn’t to complex of a scene and that we could to a good job on. We also chose this part of the novel because we did not have to have too many props for the presentation. We kept the dialogue almost exactly like the dialogue in the novel. We added a few lines just to make the presentation longer.
This part of the novel is a very important for the rest of the book because the scene was when Miles and the Colonel met for the first time which started the friendship that gradually got stronger throughout the novel. This was probably the most important part because it is how all the mischief and fun they would have later on.
The dialogue in the book was easy to translate into a script because I could relate to the characters because they were around the same as the class and had most of the same attitudes and personalities that a typical teenager would have which was easy to act out due to the fact that in the scene I chose the characters didn’t have too much emotion and was easy to act out in front of the class.
